Junhong is a graduate of the Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Leeds Conservatoire (LCoM), and the Guildford School of Acting (GSA). This production marks Jun's first venture into composing music in an English-language context following the completion of their MFA at GSA, and serves as the starting point for the development of this work. Jun is delighted to bring together perspectives from different cultural backgrounds through this creative process, weaving cross-cultural reflections into the heart of the piece.
JIAXIN BERNICE ZHENG

Jiaxin Bernice Zheng is a London-based performer and theatre maker. She has a background in both opera and musical theatre, having trained in BA Opera Performance at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music and MA Musical Theatre Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Jiaxin loves exploring different forms of theatre; her previous credits include creating and performing her own solo cabarets (Between the Lines, Breaking Out from the Box) and performing in Miracle the Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe. As the original visionary behind The Scale of Power, Bernice conceived the initial story and concept, and is thrilled to see this dystopian musical satire come to life.

Jiaxin Bernice Zheng is a London-based performer and theatre maker. Xinyue is a musical theatre actress, producer, and technician based in London. Originally from China, she has developed a multidisciplinary career that combines performance, producing, and backstage management, with a particular passion for new musical theatre and international collaboration. She is committed to creating innovative and meaningful theatrical experiences. Her producing credits include Meaning (2025 Edinburgh Fringe) and Bound by the Wind (2025 Camden Fringe). Performing credits include Lily in Cardstock (2025), Gina in Miracle the Musical (2025).

Ong Jin Yi brings a unique, performance-focused lens to the booth, holding a BA in Film Production alongside a Master’s in Screen Acting and Performance. Currently based in London, she has experience in live events production and has participated backstage precision as a production crew member for both the Camden and Lambeth Fringe Festivals. When she isn’t calling cues, Jin Yi can almost always be found immersed in stories, spending her free time absorbing as many theatrical plays and films as possible. She is thrilled to channel her deep passion for storytelling into her current role as the stage manager for the musical play, The Scale of Power.

Elisabeth is a multi-disciplinary Belgian-Chinese performer, writer, director and choreographer. They obtained an MFA in Acting at the Guildford School of Acting. Their recent credits include New Wimbledon Theatre, Hen and Chickens theatre, Baron’s Court, Bread and Roses theatre. They have recently written their first five-star play Buds,Revolt! Which was taken to Camden Fringe. Elisabeth loves physical theatre and has a large passion for ensemble work. With a Master’s in Art History and a rich background in Classical Music and different performing arts, they draw inspiration from a large range of media and histories for their work.
Ruoyi Zoe Yan

Zoe Yan is a singer, actor, vocal coach, and music theatre practitioner. Originally from China, she trained in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting (GSA) and has been teaching voice and Acting Through Song since 2018.
She recently completed her doctoral studies at GSA, where her research focused on vocal performance pedagogy in musical theatre conservatoire training, with particular interests in interdisciplinary and intercultural approaches to teaching and learning.
Zoe is delighted to join the creative team as Musical Director and Vocal Coach for this production.

Jiahe Guo is an emerging theatre-maker and set & props maker based in London, with an interest in production/scenic design, as well as set construction. Currently a Film Studies student at King's College London, they worked as an Assistant Art Director on projects at the American Film Institute and trained in production design at UCLA. They are passionate about building environments that support storytelling.

Xuan is a lighting designer and technician, director. With a background in traditional Chinese xieyi painting, Xuan excels at combining realism with abstraction, integrating xieyi philosophy into theatrical creation to produce works rich in irony and depth. Xuan also integrates behavioral science into theatre to enhance emotional and sensory experiences.
Xuan's lighting design seeks a balance between realistic light and dramatic expression. Guided by logic and driven by emotion, they create lighting that resonates deeply with audiences. Their control of light and shadow resembles a xieyi painting—free from rigid form, focused on conveying meaning—forming the fundamental aesthetic of her design practice.

Wei Yuan accumulated ten years of professional commercial dance experience in Shenzhen before completing her MFA in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting in 2025. A passionate theatre artist devoted to stage performance and original choreographic creation, she blends refined commercial dance techniques with theatrical storytelling. She is honoured to join the creative team of The Scale of Power, crafting expressive, story-driven movement for this original musical.

Lorenzo is an Italian actor, musical theatre performer and clown based in London. He trained in acting at Guildford School of Acting and in musical theatre at The Bernstein School of Musical Theater in Bologna. Lorenzo loves exploring different forms of theatre and is currently devising a solo show based on Collodi’s Pinocchio, combining mime, storytelling, music and masks. Previous credits include: The Things We Left Unsaid: featuring the songs of Jason Howland (The Other Palace), The Ridiculous Rhyme Show (German Tour), Starting Points: the prologue (Phoenix Arts Club), Mime & Punishment (London Film School), Mansfield Park (GSA), Come From Away, Fiddler on the Roof, Carousel, Bye Bye Birdie (BSMT). Lorenzo is excited to be part of the cast of the new musical The Scale of Power.

Mo is a West Country born singer/actor/dancer based in London. Training: Mountview (Foundation degree Musical Theatre) , Guildford School of Acting (BA Hons Musical Theatre). Mo has recently finished her second panto season at The Exeter Northcott Theatre. In her spare time she loves picking up her bow and practicing archery in the woods while listening to a good playlist.

Abbie is a musical theatre trained actor originally from the North East of England. Since graduating from the Guildford School of Acting in 2024, Abbie has honed her skills in family theatre; she has most recently appeared in a UK tour of Rapunzel as 'Rapunzel' and will be performing as 'Princess Aurora' in Sleeping Beauty at Harrow Arts Centre this Christmas.

Passionate about cross-cultural storytelling, he continues to develop work across the UK musical theatre scene.

Previous credits include: Between the Lines(Solo Cabaret), Miracle the Musical (Edinburgh Fringe), Fountain of You (RCS & AMTP), Merrily We Roll Along (RCS), Breaking Out from the Box (Solo Cabaret), and commercial campaigns for Alipay, Molinare and the UK Department of Energy.
Bernice loves exploring different forms of theatre and she is currently a Co-Producer and Concept Creator for the upcoming production The Scale of Power.
